Shuresafe® Product Limited Warranty
Shure Manufacturing Corporation warrants to the purchaser of this product that should it fail due to defective manufacturing workmanship and/or materials within 13 months from the date of shipment (or within 12 months of the date of installation in the case of resold products), Shure will repair or replace, at Shure’s discretion, any defective part or unit without charge for the replaced part or unit.
Shure will furnish a replacement part or unit warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period, FOB Washington, Missouri. This warranty does not include labor or any other costs incurred for routine servicing, maintenance servicing, replacing, removing, shipping or handling of either defective or replacement parts or the complete unit except as stated above. This warranty also excludes all costs associated with removal, dismantling, shipping and installation of any replacement parts. Purchaser is responsible for any removal, freight and installation or handling charges of the installing dealer, distributor or contractor. These costs may be covered by a separate warranty provided by the installing/selling dealer, distributor or contractor.
For resold products, in establishing the date of installation used in determination of the starting date for the 12 month term of this warranty, proof of the original installation date must be presented (Purchaser must present original records that establish the installation date of the unit), otherwise the effective period of the warranty will be based upon the date of shipment to the installing/selling dealer, distributor or contractor.
This limited warranty applies only if the product is installed in compliance with manufacturer instructions, local installation and building codes, maintained according to manufacturer instructions and operated under normal working conditions and good trade practices. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, negligence or abuse; operating the product in an negligent manner; modification, alteration, repair or service of the product by anyone other than an agent of the installing/selling dealer, distributor or contractor; failure to provide proper maintenance and service to the product according to the manufacturer’s instructions; installation of the product in a manner contrary to the instructions of the manufacturer; acts of God.
To obtain warranty parts and/or replacement service:
1. Purchaser must notify the installing/selling dealer, distributor or contractor within the applicable warranty period. The installing/selling dealer, distributor or contractor may then contact, on purchaser’s behalf or have purchaser contact Shure directly to discuss the failure circumstances, provide limited warranty documentation and possible remedial action.
2. If replacement is required, purchaser must furnish billing information for the replacement parts before shipment from Shure. Upon return of the replaced unit, in the replacement shipping material to Shure Manufacturing Corporation, 1901 West Main Street, Washington, MO 63090 and at Shure’s discretion after inspection of the returned parts or unit, purchaser’s warranty account will be credited for the amount of the replacement part(s) or unit. Shure reserves the right to reject any warranty damage claims resulting from accident, negligence or abuse; operating the product in an negligent manner; modification, alteration, repair or service of the product by anyone other than an agent of the installing/selling dealer, distributor or contractor; failure to provide proper maintenance and service to the product according to the manufacturer’s instructions; installation of the product in a manner contrary to the instructions of the manufacturer; acts of God.
3. If the replaced part(s) or unit is (are) not received within 30 days of replacement part shipping or at Shure’s discretion, all limited warranty failure conditions are not met, purchaser will be billed for the full amount of the replacement part(s) or unit.
